The focus of our "Momoiro" tea ceremony set is the elegant matcha bowl with its deliberately irregular shape and wavy edge, which represents the hilly landscape of Japan.

The bowl is made of pure white and subtly applied pink, which becomes lighter towards the bottom, allowing the intense green of the matcha to come into its own.

The relatively large bowl has a diameter of 12 cm and a height of 8 cm.

With a volume of approx. 435 ml, the bowl offers enough space to whip the matcha tea into a nice foam.

Each matcha bowl is unique in color and shape.

The handmade individual pieces may differ slightly in color and structure from the photos.

The bamboo matcha whisk, also called chasen, is an indispensable accessory for preparing matcha tea.

Before whipping the matcha, the bristles of the matcha whisk should be briefly soaked in warm water; this increases its lifespan.

When beating, do not drag the whisk across the bottom of the bowl, as parts of the delicate bristles could break off.

It has 80 bristles and allows you to whip the matcha tea (green tea) into a firm and attractive foam.

After use, simply rinse the bamboo broom with lukewarm water and place it on the enclosed broom holder with the bristles facing down.

The special shape of the holder ensures that the bristles are protected and retain their shape for longer.

Using the traditional bamboo spoon (Chashaku), the matcha powder is added to the bowl in the optimal dosage (1 heaped spoon corresponds to 1g).
