Matcha Green Tea Set Orenji incl. Matcha Whisk

The focus of our "Orenji" tea ceremony set is the midnight blue matcha bowl with its deliberately irregular shape and wavy edge, which represents the hilly landscape of Japan.

The glaze is a very dark, almost black "midnight blue" with an ice-encrusted edge.

This dark, cool color creates an interesting contrast to the light green, hot matcha.

The relatively large bowl has a diameter of 12 cm and a height of 8 cm.

With a volume of approx. 435 ml, the bowl offers enough space to whip the matcha tea into a nice foam.

Each matcha bowl is unique in color and shape.

The handmade individual pieces may differ slightly in color and structure from the photos.

This traditional, beautifully shaped Matcha bowl was elaborately handcrafted in a classic design and attracts everyone's attention with its deliberately irregular shape and wavy edge, which represents the hilly landscape of Japan.

The thickly applied, shiny glaze in dark blue underlines and contrasts the intense green of the matcha tea.

The bowl tapers slightly at the top so that the matcha does not splash when whipped.

The set includes a matcha whisk made of white bamboo, also called chasen, an indispensable accessory for preparing matcha tea.

It has 80 bristles and allows you to whip the matcha tea into a firm and attractive foam.

The whisk holder made of porcelain (Japanese "Chasentate") in the same design as the matcha bowl extends the life of the matcha whisk by allowing the bristles to dry quickly and particularly well thanks to even ventilation.

After use, simply rinse the bamboo broom with lukewarm water and place it on the holder with the bristles facing downwards. The special shape of the holder ensures that the bristles are protected and retain their shape for longer.

The set is rounded off by the included matcha spoon "Chashaku".

It is the traditional tool for taking matcha powder out of the container in the correct dosage.
